Koh Samui is a representative island of Thailand, beloved by culinary travelers for its fresh seafood, unique Thai curries, and various local desserts. In this guide, I will introduce the must-try foods and attractions in Koh Samui.
Koh Samui is a coconut island floating in the Gulf of Thailand, famous for Chaweng Beach and Ang Thong Marine Park. Day 1 is for acclimatization in Chaweng, Day 2 is for Ang Thong Marine Park, Day 3 is for Big Buddha and island tour, Day 4 is for Lamai and resort relaxation, and Day 5 is for departure. With a layover in Bangkok, it takes about 8-9 hours, and the total cost for 4 nights and 5 days is around 900,000 to 1,500,000 KRW per person. I’ll share my experience, including the opposite rainy season compared to other parts of Thailand and the island itinerary from a first-person perspective.
